CHARACTER CREATION
Please be sure to read all pages on the website before deciding to apply.
To join Taisho Record, you’ll need to apply with a character! We require both a visual and written app of your OC, which must be 100% created by you.
Visual requirements: one full body or 3/4 body (at least) in appropriate dress code on our app sheet
App sheet & written requirements:
*App checks will not be conducted. However, upon acceptance you may be required to make edits to your app.
GUIDELINES
❖ All characters are required to be first year students
❖ Any hair colour/eye colour is accepted, but please no rainbow hair/eyes
❖ For now, please no swords on apps as they have not acquired them yet
❖ Your character should be wearing hakama on the app as that is what they would usually wear on a day-to-day basis (addition of Western elements are fine)
❖ Your character's nationality should be Japanese. However, we do allow characters that have had influence from overseas or have previously lived or studied abroad
❖ Having a surname for your character is optional. This is mainly for backstory opportunities such as, but not limited to:
-
an orphan may not have a surname (alt: an orphan that takes on a fake surname)
-
a lying character who takes on many surnames
-
a fallen noble who is ashamed of their surname
-
etc.
↑ Of course, these are only examples, and creativity is very much welcome!
❖ For those wondering about the education system in TR's universe, it follows much like in real life: Elementary → Middle → High school
However, some characters may be from lower class families or orphans, and they may not have had the funds to properly enrol into Elementary/Middle school, so it's possible that Tenshoutei may be their first official school
❖ We don't allow locked bios or histories; please keep it all out in the open!
❖ Characters should not have any supernatural abilities whatsoever
❖ Characters should largely be unaware of the existence of Youkai as fact precedes superstition in this era. However, some characters may speculate or may be interested in the urban legends of Youkai, but ultimately it's all fiction
❖ Gender ratio will not be accounted for during the selection process
Finally, we're looking for a colourful cast with a variety of personalities that differs from our current cast! So please be sure to do your research on current membersヾ(＾∇＾)

When both visual and written parts are complete, you can submit your application via Google Forms.
※By sending in a join request through Gforms, you are agreeing to adhere to any alterations that may be raised regarding your app (in the case of acceptance into our group). Should you feel that this group is not a suitable fit for you, or you do not agree with these terms, please reconsider your join request.
